Marmara University

Established in the year 1883, Marmara University being one of the oldest institutions belonging to Ministry of Commerce & Agriculture and Forestry and Mines. It is based on Cogaloglu education, which started in a house on the basis of High School for Girls in Istanbul. In the late 1950’s it was converted to Istanbul Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences. In the early 1980’s it got collaborated with several other institutions and was named Marmara University. It is among the top ten universities in terms of number of students in Istanbul and Gazi Universities and also in number of faculty memebeerss. Marmara University being collaborated with other institutions it has several campuses located in various places of Turkey namely, Goztepe, Haydarpasam, Bahcelievler, Baglarbası, Kartal, Beyazıt, Anadolu Hisarı, Nisantası, Acıbadem, Sultanahmet, Basıbuyuk campus and Sisli.
